Nice to meet you, my name is Yamaga Shiotarou, the winner of the silver prize of the 34th Fantasia Bunko Prize. My very first light novel being under Fantasia Bunko must be some kind of fate, I’m sure. To the me from eight years ago, I’m a Fantasia author now.

I have a lot of people I would like to thank, so I’d like to get to it immediately. First, my head editor I-sama. Thank you very much for helping a newbie who didn’t understand left from right. With every piece of advice, I believe my force as an author has grown, and with maybe a thousand more times, I might just become invincible.

Next, thank you to all the judges who chose my novel as the winner of the silver prize. I have no words that could express the gratitude I feel. The comments of the judges acted as a guiding light when I worked on the edited manuscript. I made sure to hang the announcement page of the Dragon Magazine on my wall.

Following that, my illustrator Yurin-sensei! I’m a fan. I became a fan. When I first saw the character design for Sako-san, I was hit by an immeasurable impact. I had trouble breathing. I want to see even more of Yurin-sensei’s illustrations, so I pray that I can release a second volume.

I have to mention all of my friends who supported me, as well as A-sensei from my university. I’m grateful for all of your advice. Especially Mr. M (who I should probably call N-sensei), who has helped me astronomically even outside my work. Best buddies, really. Let’s have a long life as authors.

I can’t forget about every person who has supported me in my life. All of these experiences helped me write this novel. I don’t think I would have been able to write this if even a single one of them was missing. There are people who I probably won’t meet again, or won’t be able to either, but I still would like to send them my gratitude. Thank you very much for all the wonderful experiences.

More than anything, of course, I want to thank all of you for picking up this book out of the countless light novels available. I hope I was able to give you a story that will have provided you with a memorable feeling.
