I would like to talk about something that may or may not be related to the Indonesian language. When I was in my first year of middle school, I had a friend who I was pretty close to who sat next to me. Let’s call him H-kun. He was skilled at foreign languages, such as the Indonesian language. He was offered an opportunity, so he invited me on a three-week trip to Java Island.
The ruins there are a world heritage site, and if you converted it into Japanese yen, it would cost you merely 500 yen to stay over for one night. There I suffered severe stomach pains on a toilet with no toilet seat, and I clearly remember enduring my agony while reading magic lexicon. I must have been thinking of writing a magic novel when I got home. Though it ended up being HenNeko in the end.
At the same time, I vividly remember having to rely on Japanese books, whereas my friend H-kun could joke around with the cute female employee at the bookstore while searching for a new Indonesian book. And now, this very H-kun has gotten married just a few days ago. I feel happy, but I also can’t help but feel lonely that we can’t go on another trip like that again.
Even after graduating from school, we somewhat managed to stay friends the whole time, which makes me realize how weird of a person he is, and I actually wrote HenNeko volume 7 with these thoughts in mind. I wonder how he feels about having a light novel author as a friend. As you might have guessed, this very H-kun has helped me out a lot with all the Indonesian words I’ve often mentioned in the previous afterwords, but now that this friend has gotten married and moved a bit further away, that will most likely change in the future. Basically, what I’m trying to say is that it’s time to stop relying on the beginning being Hentikan! Hentikan Hentai! (And this will be our greeting).
Hello everyone, this is Sagara Sou.
I’m terribly sorry that I made you wait this long. This is the 7th installment of the ‘Invigorating Prince and Stony Cat’ series, right after the field trip. It’s a novel with lots of changes. I think that there are things Yokodera and the others must change, and other things they should keep at the same time.
Of course, the source material will continue further, but the anime has ended, and ended well. It was a wonderful anime, and it was all made possible by Director Suzuki. I think it had some wonderful invigorating scenes. To everyone who has worked hard on the anime, thank you very much. I would love to work with you all again! To that end, I will work hard on the manuscript. Very much so.
As for this very Invigorating Prince series (And yes, I will continue to use this name!), I want to thank Kantoku-sama again for creating these wonderful and cute illustrations. You always respond to my wishes perfectly, and I love you for that.
As for Komeken-sama, who is responsible for the comicalization, and Yamada-sama, I read the Monthly Alive every time with great enjoyment. Once we find some free time, let’s have dinner together sometime, please. The 5th volume of the comicalization will be on sale next year on the 23rd of January (Announcement).
As for my head editor Iwaasa-sama, I’m terribly sorry for the ridiculous schedule I dragged you through. I know you must be very busy, so thank you for sharing some time with me. I will definitely (try to) improve in the future…

M-kun, who showed me around at the locality that ended up being the inspiration for the setting for volume 6, thank you very much (I’m sorry that I didn’t mention it before. Let’s go there again sometime).
