Hello there, it’s Ebisu Seiji. This marks the afterword of the 10th installment of the ‘Ore Ga Suki Nano Wa Imouto Dakedo Imouto Janai’ series. Thank you very much for picking it up.

Really, time has gone by so fast, and the series has made it to the double digits now. Even while writing this volume, I kept thinking We’ve come this far, huh…? while I gazed at the ceiling in admiration. It’s all thanks to every single one of you continuously supporting me in my endeavor, so yet again, I want to give you my utmost thanks.

That aside, how did you enjoy this volume? In the previous one, Yuu had made an important decision which Suzuka was forced to accept. The two siblings yet again treasure each other to the utmost, and we even dove into their past together. Thanks to that, we understand that Yuu has always prioritized his little sister, and always emphasized that it’s just the natural thing to do. On the other hand, Suzuka realizes that they cannot keep going like this, and she confesses. Now what kind of answer will Yuu give?

Please look forward to that in the next, and final, 11th volume.

Yes, the next volume will be the last. We’ve arrived at the climax of the story. Thinking that this series will end in the next volume sure gives me a rather lonely feeling. However, at the same time, I’m looking forward to seeing the final episode of these annoying siblings play out. Hence, in order not to disappoint any of my dear readers now on the finishing line, I will give it my all to satisfy you with a wonderful ending.

Now then, to quickly change the topic, I want to talk about what’s next. Next not in the sense of the next volume, but rather my new novel—my new series. Indeed, I have been doing some work on that. If possible, I wanted to release it at the same time as the final volume of ImoImo, but it’s still a bit vague, so I can’t, and I won’t reveal anything here. All I will say is that the general direction of it won’t change drastically. For example, it won’t be an action battle-simulation survival horror story where the protagonist is left alone in the woods, wondering if he’ll survive with only his little sister kind of series. Probably not, anyway. So don’t worry.

Still, when I think of a new series, I can’t help but remember back to when this series was brought into life. A lot happened back then. Writing and writing on the first volume, and although the first volume ended up getting rejected, I’m still pretty happy about it.

The theme for a little-sister-novel plus light-novel-author was decided, and the characters were slowly brought into existence. Funnily enough, Suzuka’s character was a bit different back then, and I sometimes imagine how the story would have unfolded if she had stayed like this. As a side note, the first-ever prologue actually consisted of the very first panchira scene between Yuu and Suzuka.

Either way, I’ll be able to reveal more information about my new series in the near future, so please keep an eye out for that. With this, I would like to say goodbye for now, and hope that we get to see each other again—
