Afterword
Thank you very much for picking up this novel. It makes me incredibly happy to know people are interested in my work. And nice to meet you, my name is Tachibana Yuma. To the people who have known me from when I used the name Karamanero (Pokemon / Malamar), it has been a while, hasnāt it?
This work, āUsagi Goutou ni wa Shinde Morauā happens to have won the 1st Kakuyomu Web Novel Contest, now allowed to be printed like this. It is a contest that is held in cooperation with the Kakuyomu website, which allows you to publish your own novels, and it is one condition to be chosen for the contest. In other words, this novel has been available online way before the publication that you are reading right now. And with that now made clear, I would like to talk about this novel for a brief moment if you would allow me to do so.
This very work is actually the first long novel Iāve written. Iām still very much an amateur, and I started writing on this without giving the plot much thought. For that, the web novel version didnāt receive much proofreading or other adjusting, making it hard to grasp the information presented, which in turn made it difficult to read, and Iām aware of that. Naturally, that has been fixed and changed heavily in this publicized version. However, there were still people who found interest in the novel and saw its charm. And if not for their votes, Iām sure the novel would not have turned out the way it has now. I really think I was lucky to have such wonderful readers supporting me.
Following that, Iād like to talk about Kakuyomu for a moment. Using its service, Iāve spent more time than Iād like to admit reading mystery novels. I encountered many novels. Some used supernatural phenomena and riddles, others came with twists at every corner, all their own special twistā¦And yet, it felt like many of these novels were still being slept on by people. So, I hope that at least some of the people reading this afterword go and check out some novels on Kakuyomu later. In that sense, I also plan on adding some side stories about Robber Rabbit eventually, so keep an eye out for that.
Finally, I would like to give my thanks. First of all, Iād like to thank everyone who voted for this novel and advertised it online. Next up is Mr. S, who helped me rework everything immensely. I believe that this novel has become a lot easier to read and understand thanks to their work. Of course, my editor and proofreader from the publisher helped even more with that. And I canāt forget to thank my illustrator Yoneyama-sama for providing all those wonderful illustrations.
And last but definitely not least, my greatest thanks go to everyone who read this novel until the very end. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
