Dangerous fortune-telling—I have to get serious…

The next step in the quest, the fortune-telling. On the edge of the roof of the current school building, a real tent was built up. Written on an ostentatious board above the tent, ‘Mother of Miou’, with mostly girls lining up in front of it, showing a fulfilling boom of fortune-telling.

“Girls always liked this sort of thing, huh~”

As Yuuya muttered, Mitsuki nodded along three times. And then, it happened. From inside the tent, a person with a girly voice, her face covered by a purple veil, poked her head out of the tent, looking truly like a fortune-telling woman you’d see elsewhere.

“The Love Quest participants can enter inside.”

“?! That voice?! Neko?!”

“—Ohh, pretty sharp for you, Kanzaki.”

Lifting her veil, Neko fixed her glasses, narrowed her eyes.

“Neko…You can do fortune-telling like that?”

“Naturally. A lot of fakes run their mouths about fortune-telling, but the real deal is different, you know?”

“I never knew we had a fortune-telling club?”

“To be completely honest, this isn’t a club. You can also join in with a single-person attraction.”

“Ohhhh? That’s pretty amazing~”

“So Neko-san is the real deal…Amazing…”

As Yuuya showed admiration, Mitsuki’s eyes lit up in interest, to which Neko showed a satisfied expression.

“Hm? What’s wrong?”

“…Well, even if you’re not related by blood, living together under the same roof has turned you into quite the family. You really resemble each other.”

Towards Neko’s words, Mitsuki puffed out her cheeks in protest.

“Me and that guy…don’t resemble each other at all…And we’re not family either.”

“Is that so? Well, let’s just leave it at that then.”

Neko showed a shrug with her shoulders and guided the two of them inside.

“Let’s leave the idle talk this far, and start with the Love Quest. Time is precious, right?”

“! That’s right! Please keep it short!”

“That will depend on you two. I did tell you I won’t hold back though.”

Even now, Yuuya couldn’t gain any clues from Neko. Instead, he and Mitsuki just followed her instructions to take off their shoes, and the second they went inside, they let out voices of surprise and admiration.

“Uwaaah…Amazing…So beautiful…”

“Ohhhhh! This feels pretty serious now…”

In the interior of the tent, countless stars were lighting up their surroundings. And it wasn’t something cheap like black light hitting it to light it up. It wouldn’t be too far-fetched to call it a small planetarium. Eventually, the two of them go wrapped up in this mysterious atmosphere.

“…How…do you even do this?”

“Business secret. Anyway, let me explain the rules of Love Quest.”

Neko quickly evaded Yuuya’s question, sat down behind a table in the dead center of the room, and had the other two sat down across from her. On top of the desk, with a black tablecloth on it, were tarot cards or a crystal, as well as various other fortune-telling tools, all ready to be used, even a book revolving around fortune-telling itself.

“From now on, while looking at the palm-reading book, you will tell the future of your compatibility—”

“Huh? Neko, you’re not going to just tell us our future?!”

“That wouldn’t be much fun, would it? Finally, if your result overlaps with mine, you pass. If not, you will have to do a different kind of fortune-telling. Forever. It’s a fortune-telling hell.”

“…I thought it sounded pretty easy at first, but this might just be more full-blown than I had anticipated.”

“Of course. Don’t underestimate fortune-telling like that. Fortune-telling is a skill that lets you directly borrow strength from the gods.”

“Neko-senpai is pretty serious about this…”

“That’s like saying something is delicious, to a cook, you know?” Neko spoke up, yet again using more mysterious words like always.

Seeing that, both Mitsuki and Yuuya swallowed their breaths.

“…For now…I don’t get tarot cards that much…so maybe palm-reading…?”

“Y-Yeah…”

Yuuya took her hand, as Mitsuki carefully stretched it out towards him. By doing so, the girl let out a short “Mm…”, as her face twitches. That erotic expression of hers stole Yuuya’s attention for a second.

Wait, no. Focus…focus…We just took a break, so we don’t have much time…

His free hand he used to flip through the pages of the palm-reading book, looking up methods of the fortune-telling. At the same time, Mitsuki’s face burned up bright red, forcing herself to gaze up at Yuuya.

“Um…Palm-reading…the heart line, huh…So this?”

Yuuya ran his fingers across Mitsuki’s palm, which made her shoulders jump up and down, pulling her hand back from him.

“No…This really tickles…Uuu…”

“It’ll be just a second, so put up with it, okay? Come on, give me your hand, I can’t properly do it like this, you know?”

“Uuuu…You say that…but it’s tickling too much…I can’t…”

“It’s fine. You’ll get used to it immediately.”

“Ah…No…”

When Yuuya took Mitsuki’s hand again, she twisted her upper body and bit on her lower lip. Watching that, even Yuuya felt himself getting nervous.

…Why are you ending up like that when I just touch your hand…

Her big, round eyes started to water, and as she gazed straight at him, he would eventually get the wrong idea, no doubting it.

What, wrong idea…about what even… Yuuya retorted his own thoughts.

With pure coincidence, Yuuya’s fingers reached in between Mitsuki’s.

“Ah…N-Not…between my fingers…” Mitsuki tightly closed her eyes, leaking a feeble voice.

“Eh? Even that is tickling you?”

Though Yuuya was a bit perplexed at first, he put more resolve into his movement, and once again put his fingers between Mitsuki’s, making her shoulders jump up, as she twisted her body.

“No! I keep saying…you can’t! Sto…p…”

Sweat slowly started to build up inside Mitsuki’s palm. Noticing her drowsy eyes, Yuuya panicked even further.

“You say this place is ticklish…but why?”

“Kya…Nooo! I-I don’t know that…! J-Just…stop it already…”

Mitsuki’s breathing started to grow more rough, as she threw a harsh glare at Yuuya. Since she was leaning forward, Yuuya could catch a glimpse of two small bulges peeking out from her collar, making Yuuya avert his gaze. All the while thinking that he had to start focussing on the fortune-telling again, Mitsuki’s reaction was glued to his thoughts, not separating.

Why do things always end up like this with her…it’s almost like…

While muttering to himself inside his head, Yuuya traced his fingers over Mitsuki’s palm. As he did, Mitsuki let out a feeble scream “Ah, you can’t! Not there, idiot!”, and at the same time, Neko gave a splendid retort towards Yuuya, with her usual pokerface.

“Quite lovey-dovey for being siblings, don’t you think? I wonder if you would go all the way if nobody stopped you?”

“Pffft! What are you talking about?! Don’t say weird stuff like that! It’s really not…!”

“It’s really not…what?”

Having Neko whisper her words into his ears, a weird sweat broke out from Yuuya’s body.

“W-Well, that’s…”

“No matter how dense you might be, Kanzaki, even you should have realized that until now.”

Neko’s hot breath entered even deeper inside Yuuya’s ears, sending a shiver down his spine. Like magic, her voice reached until his eardrums, breaking havoc inside Yuuya’s chest. Meanwhile, Mitsuki had gotten too sensitive all over, unable to properly control her body anymore, and as her eyes turned more intoxicated, she was trying her best to control her roughened breathing, not realizing the conversation between Yuuya and Neko.

“Do us third party people really have to spell out everything for you?”

“—W-What do you mean?”

“The two of you right now…are looking really perverted and erotic—”

“?!”

As Neko finished her words and told Yuuya this straightforwardly, his blood started to boil.

“N-No…”

“Why are you denying it? What’s wrong with being erotic? It’s pure logic and reason that a male and female being attracted to each other will end up like that, you know?”

“Don’t compare people to animals.”

“But they are the exact same. Not to mention that you aren’t even related…What reason is there to hesitate? Just be true to your instincts…”

Neko’s order resounded in the deepest parts of Yuuya’s chest, stabbing into him like a knife.

Be true to…my instincts…

Neko grabbed Yuuya’s chin, and slowly approached with her body. And, right when her fist appeared in front of his eyes, she opened her hand. A crystal connected to chains appeared, tickling Yuuya’s nose.

“……”

Though unconsciously, Yuuya focused his eyes on the swaying crystal in front of him. His sensation grew more sharp, as his body grew more sensitive.

What…is this…my body is getting hot…I don’t get this…

“Yes…Good kid…”

Neko started to pat Yuuya on the head, slightly pressing her lips onto his cheek. For a second, Yuuya’s consciousness cut out. As soon as he got back to his senses, he started tickling the gaps between Mitsuki’s fingers.

“Ahh?! No…Mmm?! W-What…are you…doing…?!”

Mitsuki’s body reacted with a grande twitch, as she moaned loudly when Yuuya got completely engrossed with what he was doing, tightly gripping Mitsuki’s hand.

Wait…what am I doing?!

Even though Yuuya knew he had to stop, his hands wouldn’t. He instead continued to tickle Mitsuki, wanting to hear more of that sweet and seductive moaning. That desire was filling his chest. Mitsuki grew teary-eyed as she gazed at him.

“Stop…A-Ahh…N-Noo…if you keep going like that, I’ll go crazy…I’m…at my limit…”

“What would happen if you go crazy…?”

Yuuya himself was shocked at the question he just voiced himself, he doubted himself even. It felt like something from deep inside him was awakening, forcing him to keep going.

“T-That’s…how could I say that?! Idiot!” Mitsuki furrowed her eyebrows, as she glared at Yuuya.

However, different from usual, she would not try to shake away Yuuya’s hand.

Mitsuki…Why isn’t she trying to get away from me? Does this mean that she doesn’t hate it?

Blood rushed to his face and head, as Yuuya felt vertigo.

“So then, I’ll keep going until you say it.”

His thoughts grew fuzzy, saying words Yuuya would normally never bring out of his mouth.

W-What is going on?! Is this Neko’s doing?!

“?! W-Why…?! This is…different from usual…!”

“Can you really say that, Mitsuki? You often…turn into someone completely different.”

“T-That’s…not my fault…”

“Same here…it’s not my fault…either…” Yuuya said as he pulled Mitsuki’s hand towards his mouth, running his tongue in the gaps between her fingers.

“?! Mmmm?!”

Mitsuki tried to suppress her moaning, but her reaction was too strong, as she buried her face on the desk. A ferocious stimulus filled Yuuya’s chest, as he distorted his expression in discomfort.

“Ugh…Neko…You did something, right? Again with the hypnosis? This is not a laughing matter.”

“—I changed my mind. I will get away from this seat for a bit. Just enjoy yourselves to your heart’s’ content. Naturally, you will get the sticker as well. I can’t even fathom your compatibility with fortune-telling anyway.”

Not bothering to answer, Neko just put the sticker of the Love Quest on the desk, stepping outside of the tent. Now it was just him and Mitsuki, inside this rather dim and gloomy location. Normally, this was nothing out of the ordinary, but after that ordeal, Yuuya couldn’t calm down in the slightest. At this rate, something very bad would happen. Barely realizing that made him panic.

To think that Neko would set up such a trap…I was careless…

But, he didn’t have time to regret that now. He had to focus on not getting swept along the hypnosis put onto him by Neko.

“Mitsuki…Sorry. Are you okay?”

Yuuya tried calling out to the girl, but she showed no reaction whatsoever, and just rested her head on the desk. Though her chest, equally resting on the desk piqued his interest for a second, Yuuya quickly averted his eyes again, pinching his own face. But, that very moment—

“Onii-chan? I’m fine, I was just a bit surprised.”

Lifting up her head from the desk, Mitsuki’s face was beet red, but she sounded terribly pleased.

“—?!”

That second, Mitsuki’s appearance grew blurry, to which Yuuya crimped his brow.

“What…was that? Just now…”

“What’s wrong, Onii-chan?”

“Well, I don’t know…For a second, it didn’t look like you Mitsuki…Really, something is wrong with me today…I do think it’s because if Neko’s weird technique she used on me…” Yuuya muttered to himself, as Mitsuki suddenly pulled his hand closer to her, shaking her head left and right.

“It’s not because of her hypnosis! At times, you can see me right, Onii-chan?! Can you see me right now?”

“…Uum.”

Mitsuki suddenly gazed at him with a stern expression, leaving Yuuya in puzzlement. Meanwhile, the blur plaguing his eyes grew worse, as Yuuya blinked a few times. Once he opened them again, the usual sight of Mitsuki was gone, and instead, it was a completely different girl, having taken her place.

“…Huh? The girl with the angel cosplay…where’s Mitsuki?”

“! Exactly! My name is Hiyori! So you can really see me! I’m so happy!”

The girl calling herself Hiyori teared up, as she rubbed Yuuya’s hand on her cheek. The soft sensation of her skin was pleasant on him, and her wavy hair was tickling him.

Wait…what is going on here? When did Mitsuki switch with that girl?

For a second, Yuuya happened to think it was nothing but a magic trick.

“Where…did Mitsuki go?”

“…Leave Mitsuki alone for a second! After all, Onii-chan being able to see me is super rare, so I can’t miss out on this chance!”

“…O-Okay?”

Even now, Yuuya couldn’t quite believe Hiyori’s words. However, he was never the type to sweat the small stuff anyway, as he satisfied himself with a rather carefree “Well, whatever. She probably went to the toilet” explanation. At the same time, Mitsuki, who was floating next to them like Hiyori normally would, retorting with a harsh ‘As if that’s the case!’, but Yuuya had no hopes of seeing that.

“…Hey, do you really not remember me, Onii-chan?”

“You’re a friend of Mitsuki…often playing with her…”

“Not that! Back when we were still small kids!”

“…Mmm…Hm?”

Being told by Hiyori, Yuuya tried his best to think back to the days she was talking about, but he couldn’t remember anything. He did remember often playing outside with Yukina, and there were other kids in the group they played with, but he couldn’t remember their names or faces.

“Sorry…I can’t remember. Oh right, Mitsuki asked me the same question before…”

“I see. Yeah, sorry for asking that again, I was just hoping for that small chance. Well, that makes sense. Even I can’t remember anything. And I look completely different from back then…” Hiyori’s eyes suddenly were filled with sadness, making Yuuya feel like he couldn’t leave her alone like that, as he started rubbing her head.

By doing so, her previously griefing expression disappeared, replaced by a bright smile.

“Ehehehe…I really love this about Onii-chan~”

“Sorry, for not remembering…”

“No, it’s fine. I only have to work hard so that you eventually remember—” Speaking thus far, Hiyori’s lips leaped up into a grin, as she gazed at Yuuya with a sudden teasing feeling.

“But, if you can’t remember…then I just have to make sure that you never forget about me, ever again, right?” Hiyori let out a snicker as she rested her chin on her hands, her well-endowed chest bouncing up and down at the same time.

At the same time, that very movement completely enticed Yuuya, as his eyes were glued to her chest. However, he immediately caught himself staring, and averted his gaze.

“Why are you averting your eyes, Onii-chan? You got a good look, didn’t you?”

Her soft, and sweet tone took a complete 180 turn and now was more inquiring than anything.

“N-No…um…”

“You can…look if you want to? If it’s Onii-chan…I don’t mind at all…”

Hiyori’s flustered gaze wandered all over the room, as she crossed her arms, lifting up her own chest. This action emphasized her white breasts to an extreme, as they were about to fall out from her too wide one-piece. Even her cleavage was clearly visible. Watching them shake up and down, Yuuya had to stare.

“Mmm…Just having Onii-chan look at me like that is making my heart race…”

A hot and seductive breath leaked from Hiyori’s mouth, as she pressed her hand on her own chest. Her slender fingers were digging deep into those two bulges, changing their form.

“You really like big ones more than small ones, right, Onii-chan?”

As Hiyori finished her sentence, she pulled Yuuya’s hand towards her chest. He could not resist and went along with the flow.

“Mine…are better than Mitsuki’s after all…”

Her hand was shaking, but she still pushed Yuuya’s hand into the chest area of her one-piece. Unlike when he copped a feel of Yukina’s breasts before, those were completely uncovered breasts—That thought alone almost made Yuuya tremble in excitement. Her breasts, comparable to raw marshmallows, were burning hot, as Yuuya’s fingers sunk deeper into them.

“—?!”

As her breasts deformed yet again, Yuuya froze up completely.

“Ahh…Onii-cha…nnn…your hand…is so hot…” Hiyori let out a soft, enticing voice, as her body shook like a small puppy, drenched by the sudden rain.

“……”

Something stiff tickled his palm, as a weird feeling started to enwrap him. He was indulged in the desire to pull on it. As if she had seen right through Yuuya’s feelings, Hiyori continued with a tension-filled tone.

“It’s okay…If it’s Onii-chan…you can do whatever you want with them…they’re all…yours…”

“No, that’s definitely not…”

“Do you…hate this sort of thing?”

“I don’t really hate it, but…”

“Then, do you like it?”

“………”

As Hiyori gazed straight at Yuuya, he lost all the words he wanted to say.

Why did things end up like this…Mitsuki…hurry and come back…N-No, wait. If she saw this, she’d get the wrong idea just like with Yuki-nee back then…But, what else should I do…

Dreadful sweat started to build up on Yuuya’s body.

“…W-Whether or not I like it doesn’t matter…We don’t really know anything about the other person, so…”

Yuuya grew even more disordered as he muttered these words, to what Hiyori furrowed her eyebrows.

“I…Know a lot about Onii-chan. I’ve been watching you all this time after all.”

Hiyori lowered her head, but as Yuuya wanted to stretch out his hand towards her low-hanging shoulders, she suddenly glared at him. Grabbing both his shoulders, she leaped at him.

“Uwah?!”

Taken by surprise, Yuuya fell backward on the ground, together with the chair he was sitting on. Feeling his back hit the hard ground, he let out a groan. The table equally fell over, as books and tarot cards were left scattered everywhere.

“Ouch…W-What was that about?”

“I know that you don’t remember much about me, Onii-chan! That’s I’m forcefully trying to make you fall in love with me! We want you to find out about me!”

Resting her body on Yuuya’s lower stomach, Hiyori threw him a sharp gaze as she threw those words at him. Her chest, as it was resting on him, looked even bigger than before, forcing Yuuya to swallow his breath.

“Forcefully…that’s ridiculous…”

“After all, I’m at a complete disadvantage! But, I don’t want to lose against Mitsuki or Cow Tits either. That’s why I have to do this by force, or I will only lose!”

“Huh?! Why does Mitsuki suddenly come up here?! Also, Cow Tits…”

“I wouldn’t lose against them if I was able to appear in front of you whenever I feel like it…But, because I can’t do that…I have to use times like these to the fullest…or else I won’t win…” Throughout her muttering, Hiyori rested her body on Yuuya.

Feeling Hiyori on almost every inch of his body, Yuuya’s reasoning started to crumble even further. However, realizing that Hiyori’s body was slightly quivering, he returned back to his senses.

“A-Again, we can’t…!”

“Why…can’t we? Onii-chan is this… a bother for you?”

“…It’s not, but…”

“Then, please…don’t try to get away from me…accept me…”

Yuuya panicked at this development he had never anticipated. He couldn’t help but grow conscious of Hiyori’s all-over soft body.

“Mm…Onii-chan, I like…your scent…”

Sniffing Yuuya’s neck, Hiyori ran her soft, damp tongue across his skin.

“?! Ugh…L-Listen to other people…”

“Am I not good enough? Do you really prefer Mitsuki?”

Hiyori’s straight gaze at him didn’t allow Yuuya any immediate response. Rather, because Mitsuki’s name suddenly appeared yet again out of the blue like that, he was more surprised than he thought he would be.

“Again…W-Why would you suddenly bring up Mitsuki…!”

“………” Hiyori kept quiet, as she just gazed into the deep abyss of Yuuya’s eyes.

Reflexively, Yuuya forced his eyes away from her.

“…I thought so…Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! What a dilemma!”

“Ehhhh?!”

“I mean, no matter how hard I work, it always looks like it’s Mitsuki…Well, she is also doing her best, but still…it’s a bit…frustrating…” Large drops of tears started to build up from Hiyori’s round eyes, falling down onto Yuuya’s cheek.

Hiyori quickly tried to wipe away those tears, she brought her own face closer.

…No matter how hard she works, it always looks like it’s Mitsuki…? What does she mean by that…?

Unable to grasp Hiyori’s words, Yuuya didn’t respond. The only thing he knew was that Hiyori’s lips were approaching his, as she couldn’t stop her crying. The very sight of that made Yuuya feel like something caught hold of his heart. He was completely lost in the entire situation happening in front of him. However, the girl’s sadness, her frustration that nobody would see her hard work, he understood more than enough.

“…Thank you…for everything…”

Before he realized it, he started softly rubbing Hiyori’s head.

“?!”

Through that, Hiyori’s expression froze up. Her lips were on the bare limit of shaking and not shaking, and their breathing overlapped.

“Uwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Onii-chaaaaaaaaaaaan!”

Out of the blue, Hiyori let out a childish cry, rubbing her face unto Yuuya’s chest.

“Wha…Why are you crying…”

“I don’t know that myself! Onii-chan is way too kind, so…Ughh…Onii-chan, you idiot!”

As Hiyori rested her body on Yuuya’s, her wings fell over her shoulder, softly tickling him—

?! Wait…what’s with these wings?!

Having always assumed they were mere cosplay, after touching them like this, he felt a proper shoulder blade on them, almost as if they were real. But, the girl inside his chest, still weeping on, gathered all the focus he could muster in a situation like this, unable to pay attention to these details. Or so he knew himself but finding it out like this, he couldn’t ignore it any further.

…Seriously…what is this?

As he played with the root of one wing, Hiyori’s back jolted up.

“Ah! Oniicha…No?! Ahhhhnnn…it’s itchy…Fuah?!”

“…These wings are just cosplay, right…?”

Once it piqued Yuuya’s interest, he couldn’t stop himself. Rather than the soft and sweet reaction of Hiyori, he was more focused on the wings.

“Ahhh…stop…if you do that…I…?!” Hiyori let out a moan, not able to stop her twisting and turning. “Ahhhhh! No no no no nooooooo!” Pushing her body up from Yuuya, her entire body spasmed.

The second Yuuya pushed his fingers there into the root, Hiyori’s consciousness seemed to cut out.

“Fahh…Ahhh…Noooo…”

Her slender body convulsed, and she fell down onto Yuuya.

“…?! S-Sorry, you okay?” Yuuya softly shook Hiyori’s body.

However, the person whose shoulders were moving up and down through rough breathing wasn’t Hiyori, but Mitsuki now.

“E-Eh? Mitsuki? When did you…Where’s that Hiyori girl…” Assuming he was seeing a hallucination, he rubbed his eyes several times.

But, no matter how much he did, he could only see Mitsuki. Almost as if she was interchanged with Hiyori in the one second he blinked.

W-What’s going on?! Did Mitsuki look like someone else because of Neko’s hypnosis?! No, but…this sensation is…well…a bit too different…

Who could blame Yuuya for falling into confusion?

“Haaa…Haaa…”

Mitsuki was breathing heavily, as she threw a harsh glare at Yuuya.

“M-Mitsuki…There was this friend of yours called Hiyori…where did she go…”

“…I know about her! Idiot! Don’t torment Hiyori like that! She said she didn’t want you to touch them, right?! Why did you keep going?! Idiot!”

“S-S-Sorry…They seemed like the real deal, so I just…”

So it wasn’t just my eyes playing pranks on me…But, when did Mitsuki take Hiyori’s place…?

Being blamed by Mitsuki like that, Yuuya decided to apologize first and foremost.

“…Same goes for Hiyori…She went too far…I mean…I understand what she’s trying to say…”

Mitsuki raised up her body from Yuuya, spitting harsh words down.

So Mitsuki saw all of that…Not good…!

Standing up on that place, Mitsuki fixed her skirt with a sour pout on her face, as Yuuya was plagued by a grave feeling of guilt. He didn’t know why exactly it was bad, but his intuition told him. After all, Mitsuki just kept glaring at Yuuya, as displeased as she could be. Realizing he had to somehow turn the situation around, he got up, fixing the chair, table and all, and picked up the palm-reading fortune telling book.

“…Uuum…We have to continue the palm-reading…Our affinity…”

“Why do we still need to do that? I don’t know why, but Neko-senpai gave us the sticker already.”

“But, this feels like we’re cheating, right? Let’s do it properly once.”

“…You sure are serious about the weirdest things.”

Mitsuki sighed in exasperation, but, maybe because his words had a certain level of reason in it, she politely sat down on the chair again. Yuuya followed suit and sat down across from her, softly taking her hand. A rather awkward and bashful atmosphere filled the room, as the two of them were unable to truly calm down. Though Yuuya started to feel conscious about Mitsuki’s soft hand, he had to focus on the palm-reading now, or so he told himself.

“Um…to look up the affinity, I have to check the heart line…” Gazing at the palm-reading book in hand, and Mitsuki’s own hand in between, Yuuya muttered.

The so-called heart line went from beneath the little finger over the line to the middle finger or index finger. It shows your romantic relationship trend or other information about your love life, if you’re able to read it that is.

“………”

Mitsuki had her usual sour expression on her face. Pressing a handkerchief on her mouth, she furrowed her eyebrows.

“Uwah…this might actually pretty accurate…”

“W-What is?!”

“Look, over here…Your heart line is reaching forth between your index and middle finger, right? That shows off your fastidiousness and that you’re the diligent type.”

“Whatever…I’m not that fastidious…Well, I guess I could be diligent? What about you?” Mitsuki took a peek at the palm-reading book as well and looked between that and Yuuya’s hand. “…A dedicated personality, with a calm composure? I don’t see that at all though? Doesn’t fit at all. Maybe change calm to dense?” Mitsuki kept muttering to herself, as she still gazed down at the book with a serious expression.

As Yuuya watched that, he finally managed to calm down a bit.

“Look, you have two heart lines, right? Those that possess these apparently have two different personalities. Isn’t this pretty on-point with you? I might have underestimated fortune-telling a bit…”

“W-What’s up with that?! That’s not the case, that’s just…because of Hiyori…”

“For now, I can see that both our heart lines are standing out quite immensely, both the devoted and diligent type. They resemble each other a lot as well, so our affinity is as good as it could be!”

“—!” Mitsuki’s expression tightened up at Yuuya’s words. “W-Why are you so happy about that? It’s just some boring fortune-telling.”

“Of course I’d be happy? Even if it’s just some fortune-telling.”

Yuuya’s response with a smile made Mitsuki burn up.

“…I’m not…happy at all…”

Yuuya ignored Mitsuki’s sour muttering, as he took the sticker that Neko left behind, putting it on their sheet.

“Alright, onto the next one, let’s go!”

Taking Mitsuki’s hand, Yuuya dashed out of the tent. As he did, Neko already awaited them, her calm and collected gaze directed downwards at her book.

“Neko, you were there?! You didn’t listen in on us, did you…?!”

“No need for that, I know everything—Really, going this far to suddenly cut it off, why won’t you go any further? Inexplicable.”

“?! W-W-What…are you on about?!”

“Don’t play dumb. You won’t deceive my eyes, you know?”

An ominous light flickered up in Neko’s glasses.

Did she see everything that happened inside the tent?! Even with that Hiyori girl?!

Yuuya panicked as Neko’s words seemed to hold a deeper meaning than he was hoping for. That being said, if he went into detail concerning that, he would embarrass Mitsuki any further, and run the risk that she dashes off. There was but one thing he couldn’t ignore.

“…Neko, did you just cast some weird hypnosis on me?”

“That’s pretty rude to call it weird like that. I was just pushing you on the back a bit—You should be thanking me instead.”

“—?!”

“Now then. Let’s leave the idle talk, for now, you don’t have much time, do you? You took quite the detour, didn’t you.”

Right as Neko finished her words, a broadcast of the school rang out.

‘This is the administration of the student council. We have short notice for the pairs currently on the Love Quest. As of right now, three pairs have already cleared the necessary stations to make it past the preliminary, meaning that only two more groups will have room for the final round’

“?! Not good! Mitsuki, let’s hurry!” Taking Mitsuki by the hand, Yuuya dashed off again.

At the same time, Neko whispered the following words at his back.

“—I forgot to tell you, but the hypnotism I used has a delayed effect, so go enjoy yourself.”

“?!”

As Yuuya turned around in shock to look at Neko, she just had her index finger raised, a serious expression like always.

“………”

Yuuya had no idea what Neko was thinking.

For now…It means I can’t let down my guard, huh? But, why would Neko prove to be so much of an obstacle? And then she talked about pushing my back…Makes no sense.

Muttering to himself, Yuuya bared the time in mind, as he dashed down the rooftop, heading to the interior of the school building.
